Shirley Gray Batchelor, 72, passed away peacefully on Jan 21, 2014 at The Genesis Center in Wakefield, MA. She was born in Sargent, Georgia on February 17, 1941, the daughter of Tyre C. and Nellie (Bone) Gray.
She graduated from Carrollton High, Carrollton GA and later went on to serve in the US Army, Womens Army Corp, as a Medical Specialist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her loving husband, Jerry R. Batchelor Sr, her husband of 42 years; and her three brothers, Billy, Larry and Charles.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Michelle Batchelor-Spurr and her husband, Michael, of North Reading, MA, her son, Roger Batchelor of Parker, Co; four grandchildren, Ryan Spurr, Alyssa Spurr, Presley Batchelor and Parker Batchelor; one sister, Barbara (Gray) Rosales of Carrollton, GA, many loving nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
She is to be cremated. Private services will be held at Winston Memorial in Haleyville, Alabama.
