Sandra E. (Knight) Moore, a resident of Reading for 65 years, died after a brief illness at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on November 7, 2014. She was 70 years of age. Sandra was born in Everett, Massachusetts on January 5, 1944, the daughter of Lesley and Elsie (Tracy) Knight. She was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School class of 1963.

She was the beloved wife of 48 years to John G. Moore. Devoted mother of Barry D. Moore and his wife Patricia of Chelmsford; Chad A. Moore of Reading and Island Pond, VT and John G. "Jay" Moore, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Bethel, CT. Sister of the late William and Brenda Knight and sister in-law of Barbara Carroll and Nancy Graham. Loving grandmother of Abigail, Chad, Jr., Joseph and Colton.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 11:00 am at the Lakeside Cemetery, corner of Beacon St. and North Ave., Wakefield. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading.
