Phyllis R. (Russell) Elliott a resident of Reading for 64 years, formerly of Winchester, died May 3, 2016 at the Daniel's House Nursing Home in Reading. She was 90 years of age. Phyllis was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on September 29, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Adams) Russell.

She worked for several years as a teacher's aide at the Pearl St. Elementary School in Reading. She was a long time active member of the First Congregational Church in Reading. Her family and friends were first and foremost in her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late George P. Elliott. Devoted mother of Sandy Elliott and her companion Mike Wells and Jane Elliott Trudeau and her husband Jim. Cherished sister of Jane Russell Drew of FL and loving grandmother of Benjamin Russell Trudeau.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at the First Congregational Church 25 Woburn St., Reading at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading.
