Obituary

Norma (Drummond) Infantino Bellemare of Topsfield, formerly of Peabody and Malden and of Ludlow, VT, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was 98.

Born in Jasper, Alabama, she was the daughter of Razzie D. and Susan Rebecca (Stewart) Drummond. After graduating from high school at age 16, she went to Chillicothe (MO) Business College before returning to Huntsville, AL, to work with military units during World War II. Her career as a legal secretary got its start there.

In 1946, she moved to Boston and married Robert Infantino, whom she had met in Huntsville. After his passing, she met and married Robert Bellemare. They spent summers at their cottage on Lake Rescue in Ludlow, VT, a place her entire family came often every summer for wonderful visits and great memories.

Norma loved her family most of all. She was very proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook and baker, loved making delicious meals and was happy spending time in the kitchen with her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed football season, cheering for the Patriots

and Alabama. In the 1970s, at her husband's urging, she learned to play bridge and this gave her countless joyful hours. She began teaching bridge to two of her granddaughters and delighted in playing with them online every week.

Norma was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Eva and Elva, her brothers Thomas and Sammie, her husbands Robert Infantino and Robert Bellemare, and her beloved dog, Shana.

She is survived by her daughters Karen (Frank) Burke and Janet (Nick) Kaskovich, along with her grandchildren, Robert (Chelsea) Kaskovich, Elizabeth Burke, Carolyn (Chris) MacDonald, Paul (Katie) Kaskovich, Jennifer Burke (fiancé Patrick LeDuc), and Valerie Kaskovich (Pablo Garcia Croissier), as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Will, Vivian, Mara and Josie Kaskovich. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Martin, and 2 nephews, Dale and Terry, and their families.

Her family is very grateful for the kind and compassionate care given to her by her cardiac nurse Helene, her home aide Yvelis, and the entire hospice staff, notably Betty, Philomene and especially Nancy.
