Marion L. (Lynch) O'Brien of Reading passed away on August 12, 2014 at her home in Reading. She was 86 years of age. Marion was born in Grosport, Indiana on April 13, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Forest P. and Helen (Osterholt) Lynch. Marion was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company. She enjoyed knitting and her last ten years residing at Peter Sanborn Place in Reading. Marion was the wife of the late Lawrence R. O'Brien. Sister of the late Betty Ruderman and her husband Joseph and the late Barbara "Jane" Thornton and her husband Thomas J. Thornton. Sister in-law of Ann O'Brien and also survived by 5 nephews and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held for Marion at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday, August 15, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, in Reading. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-10:30 am.
