On her 85th birthday Marie Calareso of Reading, Massachusetts, rejoined her mom in heaven. She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph Calareso Jr., 4 children: Cathie, Michelle, Joey and Dianne, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Marie was remarkable. A remarkable wife who put a smile in her husband's heart every day. A remarkable mother who gave her children childhoods to be envied and adulthoods filled with unconditional love and support. A remarkable grandmother who genuinely enjoyed the joy and chaos 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren bring. She made everyone feel like they were her favorite. She will be missed.

The family will receive friends at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (Cor. of Woburn St.) in Reading from 3:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, April 22 at 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. in Reading at 10:30 am. Burial will be at the Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.
