Marguerite P.
Bosnian
Nov 1, 1930 — May 26, 2019
Marguerite P. Bosnian, 88, longtime resident of Reading, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2019.
She was born to the late Sarah and Peter Movsesian, November 1, 1930, in Quincy MA. Marguerite graduated from Medford High School in 1948. She married the late Albert J. Bosnian in 1953 and they resided in Reading for 60 years. Devoted mother of Cynthia Eckart and her husband Jeff of Orinda CA; Christine Bosnian and her husband Alain Descoins of Lafayette CA; and Adam Bosnian and his wife Suzanne of Hingham. Loving grandmother of Hannah, Nathaniel, Christian, Benjamin and Emily. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite enjoyed a fulfilling career, working for the Reading Public School system, Tufts University, Sterling Hager Inc., and the Office of the State Attorney General. Before marriage, she began her work life at the then Bell Telephone Company.
Marguerite served on the board of the Reading chapter of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls; was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and was a longtime congregant at the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was an avid – and tremendous – cook, giver of parties, and an accomplished seamstress. Marguerite spent many happy days at the family cottage at Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport Maine, where she also got to indulge her love of lobster often. When not whizzing through the New York Times crossword puzzle, she was loudly cheering on her Bruins and Patriots teams. Marguerite passed her appreciation of music, art, and great books to all her children.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Reading. Private burial will be at Wood End Cemetery in Reading. Those who wish may make contributions in Marguerite's memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd 95 Woburn St. Reading MA 01867.
