Linda L. (Lyons) Goodemote, a resident of Reading for 36 years, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on July 27, 2016. She was 65 years of age. Linda was born in Northampton, Massachusetts on October 31, 1950. She was the daughter of the late James and Sara (Mardas) Lyons. Linda was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, NY which she received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. She was currently employed at Salter Healthcare in Winchester where she has worked for the past 25 years. Linda was the beloved wife of David T. Goodemote. Devoted mother of Luke J. Goodemote and his wife Meredith of Lynnfield and Abigail G. Goodemote of Reading. Cherished sister of James Lyons and his wife Tammie of Goshen, NY. Loving grandmother of Isabella G. Saggese and William T. Goodemote. Her funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerly and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) in Reading on Monday, August 1 at 8:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Burial is private. A gathering will follow at Meadow Brook Golf Club 292 Grove St. in Reading. Funeral home visiting hours will be Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm.
