Kathryn L. (Cronin) Crowley, 68, of Reading passed away at home Tuesday night, September 6, after a brave battle with cancer. Kathy was the beloved wife of Paul Crowley for 45 years.

Kathy was born and raised in Arlington, the daughter of Mary and George Cronin and the youngest of 6 children. She was a graduate of Arlington Catholic High School and secretarial school, then went on to do administrative work up until her retirement in 2011. Kathy loved to entertain and cook, throwing large parties and hosting holiday dinners, but in her retirement, she most enjoyed dining out and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Buster, and cats Tiger, Baby, Carlito and Rita. She was a volunteer at the MSPCA in Methuen, MA.

In addition to her husband Paul, Kathy will be deeply missed by her sons, Brian and his wife, Gayle of Windham, NH and Jeffrey and his wife, Kristen of Wakefield, MA, and her cherished grandsons, Connor, Kevin and Andrew. She is also survived by her brother Robert Cronin of Woburn, MA; her sisters Elinor McDonough of Winchester, MA and Marjory O'Neill of Southborough, MA; brothers-in-law, Walt Levensaler of Dennisport, MA and Bill Powers of Medford, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Kathy will also be missed by members of the Crowley family, with whom she had spent so many happy times. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Levensaler of Hollis, NH and Doris Powers of Arlington, MA.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading from 2:00-5:00pm. Funeral services and burial are private.
