Joan M. Strobel, a 45 year resident of Reading, died October 11, 2015 at her home. She was 83 years of age. Joan was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on August 19, 1932 the daughter of the late Herbert and Hilda (Chesley) Olson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Reading. She was the beloved mother of Susan Middleton of Greenville, NH, Betsey Palmquist & her husband Paul of Rumney, NH, Mark W. Strobel & his wife MaryLou of Austin, TX, Peter G. Strobel & his wife Christy of Dripping Springs, TX, Kurt H. Strobel & his wife Noi of Warner Robbins, GA and David J. Strobel & his wife Teresa of Corpus Christi, TX. Cherished sister of Larry Olson of Peabody. Loving grandmother of 16 and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 45 Woburn St., Reading on Monday October 19th at 11:00 am. There are no visiting hours.
