James Edward Kaiser of Lynnfield, MA, formerly of Winthrop, MA and Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 29, 2021.

Born on April 17, 1936 in Louisville, Jim grew up at Beechgate in Anchorage, Kentucky. He graduated from Kentucky Military Institute and Princeton University, where he rowed with the Princeton Crew that won the Henley Thames Cup in 1956. Jim was President of the Brown-Kaiser Company in Louisville, Owensboro, and Lexington. He was a member of the Pendennis Club, the Sports Car Club of America, and the Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop, MA.  Jim retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves. Jim and his wife Joan of 43 years relocated to a seaside condominium in Massachusetts in 2003.

Jim is survived by his wife Joan (Hunnefeld) Kaiser, his two sons James (Marty) Kaiser of Louisville and Charles (Kimberly) Kaiser of Toronto. Granddaughters Kasey (Royce) Hall, and Callie (Sebastian) Kaiser, two great grandchildren, sister Florence Lee Wescott of Louisville, Sisters and Brothers-In-Law of Massachusetts, Muriel (Eddie) Doherty, Mary (Gary) Gillis, Joyce (Rick) Willson, Paul (Karen) Hunnefeld, Robert Hunnefeld, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence (Caufield) Kaiser, brothers Ray Kaiser, and Robert J. (Starr) Kaiser, and Brothers-in-Law Fred Wescott and William Hunnefeld.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 am at Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St., Reading. Family and Friends welcome.
