James J. Fandel of Burlington, formerly of Reading, died June 18, 2018.   James was the beloved husband of Catherine M. (Curtiss) Fandel.  Devoted father of Kevin Fandel and his wife Joan of Framingham, Brian Fandel and his wife Diana of Tewksbury, Jonathan Fandel and his wife Amy of Reading and Maryann Ciampi and her husband David of Medford.  Loving grandfather of 9 and loving great grandfather of 2.  A visitation will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Thursday morning, June 21 from 8:45AM-9:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. at 10:00AM.  Burial in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in James's memory to St. Francis House 39 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116 www.stfrancishouse.org .
