James S. Currier (Jim) passed away on February 9, 2017 at the age of 47. Jim was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on July 12, 1969. He is the son of Shirley M. (Finethy) Currier and the late Robert G. Currier, Jr.
Jim is a 1987 graduate of Reading Memorial High School, and a 1991 graduate of Middlebury College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Biology. Jim worked his entire career as an environmental consultant, most recently for Weston & Sampson, and was a Licensed Site Professional (LSP) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Jim enjoyed all sports, and played hockey for his high school and college teams. Jim was an avid golfer with multiple club championship and Tour of Greater Boston wins. He also qualified many times in the Massachusetts Amateur and Public Links tournaments.
Jim is survived by his wife Deborah A. Hamblett Currier of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, his mother Shirley M. Currier, and his brother Richard A. Currier, both of Meredith, New Hampshire.
A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11am, at the First Congregational Church, 25 Woburn Street, Reading, Massachusetts. Interment will follow the service at the Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading, Massachusetts.
