Helena A. (Shea) Tibbo, a resident of Reading for 45 years, died at her home on February 27, 2016. She was 89 years of age. Helena was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on December23, 1926 the daughter of the late Gerald F. and Helen O. (Grove) Shea.

Helena worked for many years and retired as a Bank Teller for Bank of Boston. Upon her retirement she worked as a Hostess for many years at Harrow's restaurant in Reading. She also was a volunteer for Senior Services in Reading visiting the elderly in their homes as well as offering transportation for various reasons.

Helena was the beloved wife of the late Fred N. Tibbo. Devoted mother of George F. Tibbo and his wife Donna of Woburn, Shirley M. Davis and her husband John of Reading, Helen R. Altavesta and her husband Joel of Tewksbury and the late Donna L. Tibbo. Cherished sister of Donald Shea of Newfoundland, Canada and the late Margaret Martell. Loving grandmother of Donna, Johnny, Joel, Michael, Daniel, Heather, Shaun and David.

Visiting hours Wednesday, March 2, at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral service and burial are private.
