Ernest Henry Faust, Jr. a resident of Reading for 8 years and formerly a long time resident of Hamden, Connecticut, died November 12, 2016 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. He was 91 years of age.
Ernest was born in Marlboro, New York on July 13, 1925, the son of Ernest H. and Mary (Holtz) Faust. Ernest received his BS and Masters in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University in Alfred, NY. He worked for American Refractories and Crucibles in North Haven, Connecticut as a Ceramic Engineer for over forty years. Ernest proudly served his country during WW II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Ernest was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Stocker) Faust. Devoted father of Hilary Schuddekopf of Clifton Park, NY, Christine Franson and her husband Ken of Wolfeboro, NH, Diana F. LeLacheur and her husband Robert of Reading, John E. Faust and his wife Kathy of Bainbridge Island, WA, David S. Faust and his wife Deana of Puyallup, WA and the late Eric W. Faust. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Cody, Ethan, Katerina, Margaret, David, Lyndee, Emily, Erica and Kyle. Cherished brother of Betty Cypser and her husband Rudy of Katonah, NY and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services and burial are private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ernie's memory to the Meals on Wheels Program at Mystic Valley Elder Services, Inc. Development Office 300 Commercial St. #19 Malden, MA 02148-7312.
