Emma J. (Ioanna) Blanda, affectionately known as "Nana", passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday December 8, 2019, at her home in Reading.  She was exactly 91 ½ years young.

Nana was born in Arlington, MA on June 8, 1928.   She lived most of her life in Arlington before moving to Reading 25 years ago.  Nana retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in 1990.  She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed watching any and all sporting events on TV while eating ice cream.

Nana was the daughter of the late Anthony & Genevieve (Meoli) Ioanna and sister of the late Frank Ioanna, Viola Bruno, Julia O'Keefe, and Gloria Monterisi.  Nana is survived by her daughter Maria E. (Blanda) Lloyd, her three grandchildren Michael W. Lloyd and his wife Carrie, Randall W. Lloyd, and Michelle E. Halloran and her husband Robert "Bo".   Nana is also survived by her four great grandchildren Michael Jr., Tyler, Derek, and Emma.  Nana also leaves behind loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held Saturday, December 14th at St. Patrick Parish, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, MA at 10 A.M.
