Elsie L. (Horrigan) McGondel died October 15, 2018. She was 77 years of age. Elsie was born in Reading, Massachusetts to Michael B. and Grace M. (Colby) Horrigan.

Whether you called her Mom, Nana, Nan, Aunt Elsie, Mrs. Mac or Mrs. McGondel there's one thing you knew for sure she NEVER missed a chance to throw a party. She was proud that her house was "the house" where all the kids hung out. She was happy to feed everyone and to be surrogate mom to most of them.

She loved having a full house, enjoyed the cooking, eating  and loved animals.  She was overjoyed being a grandmother and would do anything and everything for her grandchildren.  She loved the luncheons with her sisters at Kitty's and Lobster Claw.   She was a kind, compassionate, loving and caring person who will be missed by so many.

Elsie was the beloved wife of the late William H. McGondel, Sr.  Devoted mother of Laura J. McGondel-Robinson and her husband Thomas of Billerica, William H. McGondel, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Wilmington and Heather A. Wade and her husband Scott of Tewksbury. She was the cherished sister of Grace Hudlin and her husband Robert of Melrose and Patricia Dascoli and her husband Joseph of Salem, NH. And the sister-in-law of Grace McGondel and Janet Manuel of Wilmington and Margaret Flannigan of Woburn. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the loving grandmother of Patrick, Courtney and Christopher McGondel, Timothy Burditt, Julia and Grace Wade.  She also leaves behind her dog and best friend "Simba".
