Ellen (Fotes) Simblaris, a longtime resident of Reading, passed away on her 99 ^th birthday on October 4, 2018.  Ellen was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Peter and Evelyn (Diakomakas) Fotes.

Along with her late Husband, Charles A. "Simms" Simblaris, they co-founded Simms Jewelers in Reading.  She was a member of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Woburn.

Ellen was the devoted mother of Annette Bennos and her husband Artie of Winchester, Leah S. Lampe and her husband John of Manchester, and Peter C. Simblaris and his wife Brenda of North Reading.  Loving grandmother of Gary Bennos and his wife Laura, Nicole Lentine and her husband Tommy, Dean, Elyse and Marissa Lampe, Rachael and Christina Simblaris.  Loving great grandmother of Chloe, Thomas, Charlie and Alex.  A Funeral Service celebrating Ellen's life will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn At 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.  Visiting hours will be held on Monday evening at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading from 5:00-8:00pm.
