Eleanor C. (Connelly) wall, a resident of Reading for 50 years, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on October 10, 2014. She was 90 years of age. Eleanor was born in Malden, Massachusetts on September 14, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Bridget (Burns) Connelly. Growing up in Malden she was a graduate of Malden high School and Emanuel College in Boston class of 1946. Eleanor was a teacher and taught at the Birch Meadow Elementary School for many years. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Reading as well as the Reading Women's Club and NAMI of Boston. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late James E. Wall. Devoted mother of Maureen E. Wall of Chelmsford and James E. Wall, Jr. of Melrose. Her funeral will be from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.), Reading on Tuesday, October 14, at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Monday evening from 4-8 pm.
