Eileen M. (McHugh) McGillicuddy of Tewksbury, formerly of Reading, passed away on July 21, 2023 at the Prescott House in North Andover. She was 83 years of age.

Eileen was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on October 7, 1939 the daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Doherty) McHugh.
Eileen was raised in Medford. She graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden with the class of 1957. She worked at the Reading Memorial High School library and spent many years working for Liberty Mutual. She was an active and devoted member of St. Athanasius parish. She loved Irish dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. McGillicuddy. Devoted mother of Patrick, J. McGillicuddy and his wife Erica of Tewksbury and Peter J. McGillicuddy and his wife Sarah of Holliston. Cherished sister of Marjorie Dahill, Maureen Browne and her husband John all of Reading and the late Kathleen Bartlett. Loving grandmother of Joseph, Stephen, Cora and Alden.

Eileen's funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading. Funeral home visiting hours will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm.
