Edward T. Broderick, Jr, a fifty year resident of Reading and also a 32 year resident of Osterville, died September 24, 2015 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. He was 81 years of age. Edward was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 19, 1934 the son of Edward T. and Mary (Carr) Broderick. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School class of 1952. He attended and graduated from Boston College class of 1956 during which time he was in the ROTC unit. He went on to receive his Master's Degree in Psychology from University of Massachusetts. He was a school teacher, school councilor and school psychologist. He taught public schools in Chelmsford and Stoneham and retired from the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School in Wakefield.
Edward was the beloved husband of Alexandra (Messina) Broderick and the late Pauline (Keefe) Broderick. Devoted father of Susan Quinn and her husband John; Lawrence Broderick and his wife Barbara all of Londonderry, NH and the late Edward T. Broderick III. Cherished grandfather of Erin Quinn, Lauren and Ryan Broderick, and many nieces and nephews. At the request of the family services are private and there are no visiting hours.
