Earline (Gaw) Wilmot, a resident of Reading for 65 years, passed away on April 5, 2016 with her children at her side.
Born in Reading, MA January 17, 1926, she was the daughter of William Gaw and Ella (Waters) Gaw.
Earline was predeceased by the love of her life, Don, in 1980 after 33 years of a loving marriage.
She was loving and caring, independent and hardy stock. Always the "hostess with the mostess," even in her eighties, all family gatherings and holidays were spent being overfed and spoiled at her home in Reading. Seeing all of the family together made her the happiest.
Earline loved dogs and cats and they were equally part of her family.
Her generosity knew no limits and she could often be found digging into one of her closets and passing out gifts to everyone.
Giving to others always brought her joy.
A true bargain shopper – Earline always looked like a million dollars.
For 17 years she and husband Don and kids along with her brother Ken Gaw, wife Doris and kids Barry and Billy, enjoyed summer vacations on Squam Lake in their beloved camp = Morning Star.
Earline is survived by her three children. David Wilmot and his wife Laura of Abington, MA, Chris Wilmot and his wife Lois of Deering, NH and Beth Wilmot Keddy and her husband Mark of Chester, NH. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Matthew of Meredith, NH, Nicole of Concord, NH, Cole of Quincy, MA and Leigh of Somerville, MA.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to the Wellstone House in Raymond, NH for the loving care they provided to mom.
Services will be held at Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.)Reading, MA on Friday April 8 at 11 am. Burial will follow in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading, MA where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. There are no visiting hours.
