Dorothy "Dot" Coughlin, 86, passed away at home July 10 ^th , with her children by her side, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Dot was born in Framingham, MA and graduated from Framingham High School.  She worked for New England Telephone before getting married, and in her later years was an employee of the Commonwealth of MA.

A 51- year resident of Reading, Dot loved her home and her family.  Prior to her illness, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters, going out to the movies, baking and crafting.

Survived by her children, Ann, Maureen, and Michael, all of Reading.  Pre-deceased by her brother Charles Bracken.  Also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday July 14 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (Corner of Woburn St.) Reading from 8:30AM - 10:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30AM.  Burial in Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
