David A.
Lynch
Sep 23, 1959 — Jun 25, 2022
Reading
David A. Lynch, 62, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his home after a five-year hard-fought battle with terminal cancer with his loving and caring family by his side.
Dave was born September 23rd, 1959, at Melrose Wakefield Hospital as the youngest of seven loving siblings: Bill, George, Bob, Jim, Cindy, and Tom. Shortly after Dave was born, he would be taken to his forever home in Reading Massachusetts by his parents Bill and Ethel, where he would continue to grow up. Dave graduated Reading Memorial High school in 1977 and would continue to earn his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Lowell in 1981.
Dave would immediately put his degree to work as he was hired as an engineer at Raytheon, where he played an integral part in both their Patriot and THAAD Missile Programs. Dave would continue at Raytheon for ten years until he resigned in the late 1980's to start up his own computer repair company.
In the interim Dave would get married and become a father to his first son Dave and would establish himself as a key positive influence for his stepson Julian. Dave would take his son back to his childhood home in Reading to raise him and would watch his stepson become a United States Marine. Dave would then go back to work at Raytheon as a configuration and data manager and raise his son in Reading.
Dave would be unfortunately diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in January of 2017 however, this only strengthened the bonds with the loved ones around him. Dave would continue to work at Raytheon and spend his summers working outdoors at his summer house in Wayne Maine. Dave would watch his stepson Julian get married in 2018. Dave bought two new Harley Davidsons in 2019 where he and his son David would take them on many trips around New England. Finally, Dave would continue to see his son graduate high school and be awarded a four-year Naval ROTC scholarship to Norwich University, in pursuit of his childhood dream to commission as an officer. Recently Dave was told by his stepson that he will become a grandfather to a baby girl. Dave lived a full and prosperous life in which he was surrounded by those that loved him.
