Obituary

Christine Hilton, of Austin, TX, passed away on September 27, 2017 at the age of 48. She was born in Boston, MA on January 4, 1969 to parents Herbert and Sheila (McCarthy) Monto.

Christine is survived by her husband of 15 years, Chris Hilton, and their beloved dogs, Daisy and Ruby. Other survivors include her sisters Michelle and Debi, Debi's husband Scott, as well as her father, Herbert and her nieces and nephews, Taylor, Nicole, Bailey, Zach, Kellie. She is also survived by several dear cousins and numerous extended family members and friends. Her cherished mother, Sheila, precedes her in death.

Christine was born and raised in Massachusetts, but moved to Austin, TX in 2006 after having lived briefly in Vermont, and Florida. A graduate of an American Sign Language program, a topic in which she had much interest, Christine worked in a variety of positions over the years excelling with figures, details and analysis. She was dedicated and loyal, developing co-worker friendships that would last throughout her life. Christine had a passion for current events and politics as well as true-life mystery and crime stories. She also enjoyed researching her ancestral tree and was an avid Pinterest follower. But, most of all, her love for animals was evident every day.
No matter where she found herself, people were attracted to Christine's quick wit, quiet charm, and her bright smile. Beneath that charm was a fire, too. That fire propelled her to meet the many challenges she faced with amazing courage and strength. She is an inspiration.
