Catherine M. (Curtiss) Fandel of Burlington, formerly of Reading, died October 1, 2020 at the Care One at Lexington nursing facility.  She was 92 years of age.

Catherine was born on April 22, 1928 in Meriden CT and was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Mae (Patzke) Curtiss.  Catherine was a member of St. Agnes Church and was proud of the fact that she was one of the first female Eucharistic Ministers of the church.  She was also a volunteer at Winchester Hospital.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late James J. Fandel.  Devoted mother of Kevin Fandel and his wife Joan of Framingham, Brian Fandel and his wife Diana of Tewksbury, Jonathan Fandel and his wife Amy of Reading and the late Maryann Ciampi and her husband David of Orangeburg, SC. Cherished sister of the late John Curtiss. Loving grandmother of Barbara Fiorello and her husband Joe, Eric Fandel, Noah Fandel, Eliza Fandel, Jason Fandel, Christopher Fandel, Adam Fandel, James Ciampi and his wife Meg and Anne Marie Ciampi.  Loving great grandmother of Rylee and Morgan.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6 in Forest Glen Cemetery, Forest Glen Rd. Reading at 11:30AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.  Her funeral service is private and there are no visiting hours.
