Barbara A. (Nelson) McKee of Reading, formerly of Woburn, died September 30, 2015 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 86 years of age. Barbara was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on September 13, 1929 the daughter of the late Hartvig and Hilda (Anderson) Nelson.

She graduated from Woburn High School class of 1947 and Mount Ida College in 1949. She worked for several years for Reading Internal Medicine as a medical secretary. An avid reader, she will be remembered for reading the bible every day and praying for the needs of others. Her family was first and foremost in her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late David P. McKee. Devoted mother of David P. and his wife Diana J. McKee of Wilmington, Janet A. Foley and her husband Bill of Woburn, Brian N. McKee of Woburn, Stephanie E. Reynoso and her husband Edward of Reading and the late Deborah A. McKee. Loving grandmother, "Bubba", of Christine, Daniel, Cheralyn, Caitlin, Hannah, Edward, Jensen and Esther and loving great grandfather of Shaun, Nicolas, Mateo, Elena, Janayah, Jaelin and Jadiel.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5 at 12:00pm at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading. Burial to follow at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Funeral home visiting hours Sunday from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
