Barbara J. (Parsons) Keene a longtime resident of North Reading died on August 27, 2024. She was 63 years of age. Barbara was born in Malden, Massachusetts on April 8, 1961, the cherished daughter of George W. Parsons and his late wife Barbara B. (Crilley) of North Reading.

Barbara was an active member of Mount Carmel Chapter # 230 Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to being survived by her father, George, she was the devoted sister of Donna Jarvis and her husband Norman of OR, Robert A. Parsons and his wife Nicole of VA, and Judy Parsons-Kerins and her husband Craig of NH. Barbara is also the loving aunt of several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Sanborn St.) Reading on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00am. A burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. There are no visiting hours.
