Audrie (Burton) Cameron, a resident of Reading for 65 years, passed away on November 2, 2019 at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.  She was 98 years of age.  Audrie was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on September 20, 1921 the daughter of William and Charlotte (Ross) Burton.

Audrie is a retired assistant Town Clerk for the town of Reading.  She was a longtime member of the Old South United Methodist Church in Reading and a member of Priscilla Chapter #52 Order of Eastern Star.

Audrie was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Cameron.  Devoted mother of Peter B. Cameron and his wife Lynne of Reading, the late Bruce E. Cameron and the late Christine Cameron-Grigun and her husband John of Florida.  Loving grandmother of Amanda, Allison, Peter H., Ross and Audrie.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held on  Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Old South United Methodist Church 6 Salem St. Reading at 12:00pm.  Burial to follow in Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.  Visiting hours will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm.
